St. Francis Feast Day Fun...

I am a big fan of St. Francis, and was, for a time, considering becoming a Third Order Franciscan...those people who live out an adapted Franciscan Rule of Life - living in the world and also working to embody Franciscan ideals.

I had the good fortune to bless a whole slew of animals on St. Francis's Feast day a couple of years ago when I served as chaplain to St. Catherine's School in Richmond, Virginia. It was great fun, and a whole lot of holy chaos!
