Diana Butler Bass at UVA on November 1

I had the good fortune to spend time with Diana Butler Bass when she was one of my professors in seminary.  Since then, she has published some wonderful books and done some great research into the the practice of church in the 21st century.  She has spoken in all kinds of venues, and it will be a great time to see her speak at UVA's Rotunda on November 1.

Diana Butler Bass will speak on
“Leaving Church?  Generation Next and the Future of Faith”
on November 1 at 6 pm in The Dome Room of the Rotunda at the University of Virginia
Co-sponsored by Theological Horizons and the Project on Lived Theology
The lecture is free and open to the public.  Seating is first come, first served.
Diana Butler Bass will also offer a Brown Bag Lunch Seminar on November 1 from 1-3 pm at the Bonhoeffer House.  Rsvp

DIANA BUTLER BASS is a scholar of American religion and culture.  She holds a PhD in religious studies from Duke University and is the author of eight books, including Christianity After Religion: The End of Church and the Birth of a New Spiritual Awakening.  She blogs for The Huffington Post and is a commentator for USA Today, Time, Newsweek and The Washington Post. Diana Butler Bass has taught at the University of Californiaat Santa Barbara, Macalester College, Rhodes College and the Virginia Theological Seminary.
